I'm trying to wear all my cold weather clothes before it gets warm!! I had this combo in mind. It didn't turn out quite like i had thought. The colors are perfect together, but there is not enough difference in the volume, and it feels too full. I didn't have enough time to play before going to work, oh well. First outfit of the day. Felt very luxe even if not feeling on point. Fake it til you make it, right? This top is silk velvet (super soft), and unfortunately, you can't see the beautiful ombre. Then i actually got a second pair of high waisted pair of jeans last week. I'm loving them, too!!!

The "Year of Music: Part Trois" continued on Monday night seeing the wonderful Pink Martini with China Forbes. Always a great night!! So much talent on one stage!!

I went dressy/casual. My Kiz Claiborne jacket had sparkle in it so I pulled in rhinestones in my earrings, and brooch. The jeans had a cool detail down the side seams and finished with my cool ankle boots.

Feeling very 70s (with a hint of 80s and spy) with these wide leg, high waist jeans. I honestly haven't loved a pair more recently. These are so comfy, but make a huge statement! I love the flow of this beautiful floral blouse. Then, I added the platform 👢 to reinforce the 70s vibe.

The weather was nice enough so I could wear my Bbery trench. This was an incredible find at a charity shop. It had coffee stains on it, and the price was ridiculous, so I took a chance! It came back perfect from the dry cleaners. I threw on this great hat that echoed the colors of the blouse.

I finished the outfit off with floral earrings and a huge rock!!!

Feeling very British and very Downton Abby in this outfit. I'm "shopping" my closet and wearing as much as I can!! I did a little print mixing with the houndstooth coat and tweedy fabric.

The skirt is amazing. It has zippers going the full length so you can adjust how much boot (or leg) you want to show. The silhouette is so flattering with the snatched waist of the blazer.

I topped it off with this spectacular har!! I've been waiting so long to wear it. I wore vintage and vintage inspired jewelry to give a little bling to a very stately outfit.

I've been waiting to wear this outfit 😍 for so long! I needed a day when ww weren't in the frozen tundra!!! I was so excited when @carla.rockmore debuted her @qvc collection, and I saw this quilted jacket! I knew i had to have it and dreamed of pairing it with my @anneverettfashiondesigns quilted skirt!

I love the results with the volume and asymmetry. For fun, I added the vintage Schiaparelli hat that I bought from @the_fiona.special, who was selling for one of her friends, Valerie from @idiosyncraticfashionistas . I actually had the pleasure of meeting her while at the @thevintageshow in February!!! The hat is fabulous!!!!

I'm so glad the temperatures are starting to go up!! So done with the cold!!

The year of music continues! Long day after flying back from my work trip, I went to see Richard Blade, ABC, and Howard Jones! Growing up in a small town with the nearest concert venue 3 hours away I never got to see any of my favorite bands (except the Police) until I was in college and by then, didn't have a lot of time or cash. So now I'm making up for it!!!!

My third concert to see Sting was the "Nothing Lik

My third concert to see Sting was the "Nothing Like the Sun" tour while I was in college. Back in the day you had to line up to get a number to line up for when the tickets went on sale!. For this concert, we had to line up in -3 degree weather starting the night before. A friend of mine owned a hearse, so we took turns standing out in the cold!! Im pretty sure we had mild frostbite 🥶 Luckily, it was one of the best concerts ever. He played a small venue, and the seats were amazing.

I've only missed one tour, and that was due to rain and having to work overnight at the time. We had to leave before they could come back onstage. 😪

So, almost 41 years ago, I saw Sting either The Police (2/17/84) with my sister and future brother-in-law. How cool it was to see Sting (and Billy Joel) with her and my BIL last night!! I, of course, had to wear the t-shirt i bought that night!!! I decided to layer it up over my t-shirt with a cardigan and dinner jacket. (And great idea as it was freezing!)

It was a fun night!! Go out and see live music, it's just the best!!!

Oh, and on a funny note. When in NYC, I ran into the lady who sold me my jacket. She said you look familiar, and I said maybe Manhattan Vintage Show, and she said yes. She remembered I had bought this jacket 2 years ago!!! Great memory.

My boss was in town as well as a lot of higher ups so I got dressed up ( well i do it even if they aren't, ha but still wanted to look nice!) It wasn't going to be bitterly cold all day so I wore this gorgeous silk and velvet dress!! I got a lot of compliments. No matter when a piece of clothing was made, good design is good design!!!

The print was fun and I love the play of the black velvet. I added some tall boots to keep warm. And I put on some black earrings to coordinate with velvet and my orange glass ring to pull out the color in the print!

This leather vest makes a statement all on its own

This leather vest makes a statement all on its own and always gets compliments. Today, I paired it with these paper-bag waist pants, and it was a superb combo!! Then vest can be worn so many ways, and i wore it slouched off one shoulder.

I rolled the cuff to give myself a better proportion with the tall boots. (I'm all about proportion!!!) I chose a clean front boot so it didn't compete with the cuff. There is a subtle pop of color with an orange zipper. I also kept the jewelry simple so it didn't compete.

I need to wear this more often!!!
